What is Behind the Tavern Door?

Behind the Tavern Door is a one-night only, Prohibition-era event inspired by the history and heritage of Old Tavern. For the evening, we’re opening a hidden warehouse space at Confluence Brewing for live music, casino-style games, cocktails, late-night bites, a photo booth, costume contest and more.

When is the event?

Friday, November 13th from 9pm to 1am

Where is the event?

The event takes place at Confluence Brewing, but not in our usual taproom. Guests will receive specific entrance instructions prior to the event. 

Is this a 21+ event?

Yes. Behind the Tavern Door is strictly 21+. A valid photo ID will be required at check-in.

What is included with General Admission?

General Admission includes entry to the event, your first cocktail served with a commemorative Old Tavern flask to keep, late-night snack buffet, live music, casino-style games, photo booth, costume contest, raffle opportunities and access to all event programming.

What is included with a VIP Table?

A VIP Table includes admission for eight guests, everything included with General Admission, reserved seating for your group throughout the evening and one additional drink ticket per guest. VIP guests enter at the same time as General Admission guests.

Do I need to dress in costume?

Costumes are not required, but they’re highly encouraged! Think 1910s-1920s speakeasy, Prohibition-era, dapper suits, flapper-inspired attire, bootleggers and old-time tavern style. We’ll also have a costume contest during the evening, so don’t be afraid to get into character.

Is food included?

Yes. A late-night snack buffet is included with your ticket and will be available during the event. This is intended for snacking throughout the evening rather than a full dinner, so we recommend eating dinner beforehand.

Are drinks included?

Your first cocktail is included with admission and comes with a commemorative Old Tavern flask to keep. Additional beer and cocktails will be available for purchase throughout the evening. VIP guests also receive one additional drink ticket per person.

What if I don’t want the welcome cocktail?

No problem. You can still receive your commemorative flask. Non-alcoholic options will also be available throughout the evening.

Is the flask mine to keep?

It sure is. Every ticketed guest receives a commemorative Old Tavern flask as part of their admission.

Are the casino games real gambling?

No. All casino-style games are strictly for entertainment. There is no real-money wagering, chips have no cash value and no gambling is involved.

How does the raffle work?

Guests will have opportunities to win raffle prizes throughout the night, with drawings scheduled during the event. You will receive your raffle ticket upon entry.

Will there be seating?

There will be a mix of seating and standing areas throughout the event. Reserved seating is guaranteed only for guests who purchase a VIP table.

Can I buy a ticket at the door?

We recommend purchasing in advance. Attendance is limited, and door sales will only be available if the event has not sold out.

I purchased multiple tickets. How do I provide the other guests’ names?

Ticket purchasers will receive an event information email before November 13th with a short form to provide guest names, welcome cocktail preferences and any special accommodations.

When will I receive more information about attending?

Ticket holders will receive an event information email before the event with entrance instructions, parking information, the evening’s schedule, attire guidance and other important details.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 9pm. We recommend arriving near the start of the event so you don’t miss the entrance experience, welcome toast or early entertainment. 

Can I leave and come back?

No. There will be no re-entry once you leave the event space. 

Where should I park?

Parking is available in our usual Confluence parking areas. Parking is available outside the Confluence Brewing taproom entrance and to the east side of our building. Since Behind the Tavern Door takes place outside our usual taproom space, please review these details before arriving. Ridesharing is encouraged for anyone planning to enjoy cocktails throughout the evening.

Is the event accessible?

Yes. If you need specific accommodation, please let us know through the attendee information form sent before the event so our team can make arrangements in advance.

What should I bring?

Bring your valid photo ID, your ticket confirmation, and your finest speakeasy spirit. Everything else we’ll take care of.

What is the refund policy?

All ticket sales for Behind the Tavern Door are final and non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another guest. Please contact Confluence Brewing prior to the event with the new guest’s name so we can update our check-in list.
